tm404 is a new concept from analogue mastermind andreas tilliander aka mokira (kontra-musik, raster-noton, type). tm404 uses a multiple set up of the classic roland machines tb-303, tb-606 and mc-202 to create a mesmerizing acidic techno-drone. tm404 will release a full-length album on kontra-musik in late january and we are very much looking forward. but before that we have another great release to present. kontra-musik 028 is by far our most radical release on so far. this is dance music really pushed the limit. what you are about to hear is the result of morphosis (morphine records) remixing tm404 using his favorite korg machines – the ms20 and the sq10. rabihs own words on the music: quite challenging and not really ordinary dance music. i believe in moving forward with things, with whatever chances and possibilities i have, it is my contribution to this world.

wars/when i feel is juk juks third 12 release for nommos lead tune wars is pure winter melancholy driven by dark rhythms and brooding basslines, occasionally broken down with celestial synths. slick, enigmatic and moody, a hard one to pin down but easy to get lost in. in contrast when i feel is an irresistible piece of minimal garage house. big kicks and crisp highs are punctuated with reversed strings. all this is scattered with juk juks signature vocal manipulations.

after all efforts were put into jacob korns debut album during summer 2012 uncanny valley strikes back with namesake jacob stoy and his very first solo ep after his s51 for the uv010-compilation. everything starts with redensart, a sunny piece of music with a sneaky bassline and easy synth pads that come across like a warm rain shower: its house in the end but feels like so much more. hauswart is an impressive example of how one can create a whole atmosphere of sound within two minutes. its short but feels so comfortable that you really like it to go on and on forever. start is maybe the most conventional deep house track on the ep and seduces with catchy synth chords and thrilling drums. finally gegenwart brings things to a jazzy end with tipsy synths and tripping percussions. the artwork comes from none other than jacobs father olaf stoy, who is a painter, lyricist and porcelain designer still working in jacobs hometown rabenau near dresden.

the ep opens with >black jack<, a percussive, grooveled workout built around next up is >as much as this<, applying similar drum programming tactics with a raw shuffled groove but this time opting for an esoteric vocal line and smooth house pads to fuel a deeper melodic movement. highly respected bass culture, off and robsoul artist chris carrier turns in a remix of >as much as this< to follow, stamping his signature french soulladen house sound on the original cut. the track captures a 90s feel through its crunchy 909 drums, loopy piano hook and acid squeaks and bleeps.

slowly building, soul-soothing, and disco-fuelled house with a nod to both the great masters from chicago and the new electronic breed. lisbon producer and lux resident ramboiage likes to take it slow to take things further. >del fuego< kicks off modestly with a simple beat and some light percussion, creating and eerie mood. but then some tasty, disco-fuelled heavy house kicks in, and the tune starts to roll unstoppable, riding on a horn hook. funky like a train, as the mighty equals would say. spanish om records darling al velilla steps up the pace a little bit and lets the original float over some tasty discohouse beats and eighties-flavoured synths.

a brand new act, does not compute lean towards the classic sounds of old - but with first rate production that is very much cutting edge. invoking the underground sounds first pioneered on v by the likes of artificial intelligence, does not compute are a breath of fresh air for the dnb scene.

despite the advent and cari lekebusch being two of the most enduring names in techno, the release of sonic intervention is the most high profile product to date of a working relationship that has that has spanned almost the entire history of techno. something of a landmark for all concerned, not only is it the first full-length album from the advent since 2005 s t.r.i.n.i.t.y long player for berlin s tresor records but for h-productions and its founder, the project is the highlight thus far of the labels resurgent release schedule. as lekebusch commented, to have known and respected cisco and his music or so long it was of course a great moment to get to release this album. the blend of old and new styles with high caliber the advent production has created a strong album with depth and variety that i think new and old fans alike will really enjoy .

here is ditongos new boogie. for your family business! ditongo is the batongos alias for disco editing, less obscure, more groovy. not much is to be known about batongo, previously an active euro dance producer, released a bunch of hits in the nineties. 10 years ago, after a traumatic experience he escaped in perù and retired from the music business, during this years, on his spare time he made a lot of music, not meant for the public, just for himself. now he is still in perù, not willing to move back to europe but barely broke, he sold us the rights on his entire collection of unreleased recordings with the condition of not revealing his real identity. we will unveil a series of eps ranging from obscure deep to psychedelic disco.

a fistful of wax is an extension for some very special projects of our beloved deep house skylax records sub – label wax classic. for this first release, we give you the opportunity to grab 5 fantastic trax done by some of the best deep house producers at the moment. a1 is done by the great girogio luceri whose been releasing some very hot tunes through jamal moss mathematics & runaways on the prowl labels. a2 is done by jamie trench one of the new hot producer made in london, his track sound very very garage & we loved it instantly. while on the b side we have again 3 bomb tracks featuring first on b1 jackmaster k who delivers clearly an anthem, it reminds us some of best house music made in uk (circa 91/92), this track could have been played by sasha & digweed or carl cox at shoom ! b2 is marcoradi , an italian producer who teamed up with the great nicholas on one his 4lux release. he also produced many remixes (erykah badu ect ...) & some 12 inches over the years. b3 is rio padice from rawax & housewax fame those tracks are all firmly rooted into the deep house sound (check the detroitian vibes of get back). they never settle into one comfortable, predictable groove. its heady, emotion-rich grooves include warm, melodic two-step and future garage flavas, dubwise slo-mo grooves. its eclectic, no doubt, but thanks to those guys warm production and heavy deep vocals, this release will put your hands up in the air marvellously.

two previously unreleased mixes of >tonite< by aaron fit siegel, with vocals by lrenee. the o.g. mix is a version fit started working on to be a dub version of >tonite - original mix<, but morphed into something a bit more epic, and due to time constraints could not make it on the initial release. the d.d. version, is based on the original demo track fit wrote before any vocals were recorded, then edited and dubbed out by omar-s. if you liked the original release on fxhe, be sure to have this one as well and if you dont have the original release then you better get that one too!

after the tense and dramatic soundscapes of jason letkiewiczs nzambi lp under his soundtrack guise alan hurst, emotional response have put the tracks to the test for three appropriately oddball remixers. fellow l.i.e.s. affiliate terekke turns out a heavily sedated dub of >nzambi< that rides a pacey house beat but buries everything in delay and reverb. timothy j fairplay brings some serious sleazy 80s electro tones to >parallel sensations<, complete with predatory vocal and thick ladles of synthy goodness. finally, jonas reinhardt cools off the intensity with a blissful ambient version of >before the dawn< which plunges headfirst into a warm bed of melodic drones.

sys are three nijmegen based producers with different backgrounds, but with the same great view on music, delivering underground techno/dub with great sounddesign, slow tension building drum-patterns and off-beat rhythms. nocturnal is a deep pulsating rhythm with some nice dubbed out chord elements building slowly until the drumbreak hits and lifts the track to a higher level.monocle is about a steady irresistable groove instead of building to a climax. loose yourself in its simplicity and get sucked in by the slick sounddesign happening in the background.on the flip norman nodge delivers a great acidic remix perfect for warm up sets, peaktime dancefloor action or early morning moments.nice one again on eshu!

grinding teeth is a unhealthy habit, but sometimes you cant help it. back on track on their mission to provide the worlds most hypnotic yet kicking techno beats, its all about the saegezahn and crunchy grinding on neufeld 02 sawtooth grinder. an amazingly diverse release, with three different takes on the original, each work stands on its own yet shares a common goal - to inspire people to hit a dark dance floor and shake their bodies as hard as they can and lose their minds in acid lushness.

the first reference of this argentine label, monochromatic records, it is a serious bussiness. in one side, specter - a chicago producer that edit by labels like sound signature or sistrum- with a pure class organic and deep warm up track. on the other side is the banfield audio track, with a more floor oriented but yet deep and warm analogic sound.

mowar enters autumn with the 2nd instalment of deep floors, once again exploring the deeper grooves of techno. first up is ohios fbk, whose first release already goes back to 1996 on the legendary frictional records. with she brought me there fbk opens the dance with a solid deep dancefloor groover, driven by a hypnotic hook and infectious chords. stripped down and yet full of atmosphere. after that uks tom dicicco and italys roberto bosco team up to deliver all dem, another stripped affair with rolling drums and chord stabs, a solid blend of deep hypnotic layers of groove. on the flipside we find spains aiken with a strong detroit-infused workout, in-your-face kick drums, jacking rhythms and dramatic strings. your turntables will love it. last but not least, a new belgian upcoming producer stevie p delivers a dubbed out functional deep techno track with hip-sensitive chord stabs and a fiercely throbbing rhythm.

alejandro vivanco, chilean producer and dj offers us >energia roja<, an unusual and sensory journey into his minimal, organic techno universe, which takes us far, far away, on a journey to the distant borders of abstract. in the same, insane and twisted vein, >los imaginarios< is an invitation into a land of dreams, a perfect soundtrack to tim burtons alice in wonderland played in slow-motion and a perfect companion to further appreciate this epic journey. two non-conventional tracks which are somewhat reminiscent of productions from berlins perlon records.
last but not least, the remix of >energia roja< by jens bond, one of berlins techno activists that needs no more introduction, this rendition takes us a step closer to the dancefloor with a minimal, deep version of the track that is just perfect for those lush, sexy warm ups.

techno fans in new york and chicago should be pretty aware of jeff derringer by now. since launching oktave in october 2009 with partner kevin gregor, the former indie rocker has turned a passion for deeper electronic music into a respected dj and promoter career. but it is as a producer that jeff has begun to earn rising recognition elsewhere-throughout the us and beyond-with his records infiltrating europe via support from the likes of silent servent, chris leibing and peter van hoesen, along with many others that have graced oktave over the years.
